Restoring broken plastic parts
A snapped clip, a cracked housing, a knob nobody sells any more: we 3D-scan the part — or what is left of it — rebuild its model and print a new one in a material that suits the job.
Describe your partHow it works
From a broken part to a new one
- 01
Write to us
Describe the part and what it does, and send a few photos — of the break, and one with a ruler or a coin for scale. We reply whether it can be done and what it will cost.
- 02
Send us the part
Once we have agreed, we give you the address. Send every piece, including broken-off fragments: they help us rebuild the shape.
- 03
Scan and model
We scan the part with a professional 3D scanner and rebuild a clean model: we close cracks, restore missing tabs and clips, and on request strengthen the spot that broke.
- 04
Print and deliver
The new part is printed in a material chosen for its use — for example PETG or ASA for parts in heat or sunlight, PA for clips that flex, TPU for rubber-like parts — and shipped with tracking, with the original back to you if you want it.
What we restore
Typical parts
Home and appliances
Clips, hinges, handles, knobs, covers and battery lids of appliances, devices and furniture.
Car and bike
Interior trim clips, covers, vent parts and brackets — especially for older models whose spare parts are gone.
Machines and equipment
Housings, guards, holders and spacers of tools and equipment — one piece or a small series.
Good to know
What to expect
- The new part fits: the scan gives the shape, and fits, clips and holes are modelled to measure, so it sits where the old one did.
- Shiny, dark or transparent surfaces may need a thin temporary matting spray before scanning; it disappears on its own and leaves no trace.
- The model is made for you: we use it only for your order, and on request we give you the file for your own use.
- We make a new part rather than glue the old one — a glued crack tends to break again; a new part is the lasting repair.
Price
Every part is different, so we quote it individually once we have seen the photos: scanning and modelling as one item, printing at our usual 3D-printing prices. You decide before any work starts.
What we do not take
Parts whose failure could hurt someone — load-bearing, braking, safety or medical parts — and copies of protected designs made for sale. A spare part for your own repair is fine.
